the emptiness of not having something to look forward to in school is gripping me like a monster in a nightmare, a nightmare u cant wake up from. everyone is talking abt how busy their school life is starting to get, what with their nationals, some council, some both and projects and this and that. haha sometimes i'm just glad that matthew lai has no cca, so that at least i am guaranteed one guy to talk to at the class bench if i lagged around. u see, he is so lazy and carefree that the only thing he cares abt is the weather and his sleep. so just looking at the clouds roll past as everyone goes along their tasks really does help pass time. ppl wish that they were in my situation, but really, am i really in a blessed state? i wish i had something to look forward to.
today the team went over to greg's place to visit him. everyone just sqeezing into his living room was nice. it was warm and very family. it's been a long time since i felt that belonged to a part of something, and this was one of the best times i have spent with the soccer team. as in a full team without its cliques. it's really nice when everyone jus sits down and joke harmlessly abt each other and just have fun. and of course loads of food. jus like brothers in a big big family.
greg gave a talk after that. it was really poignant, hearing from ur captain who has given so much to the team, to make it what it is today. now i jus wanna help re-live his spirit on the pitch. and hopefully fulfil a dream, a shared dream, that one day hwachong cld go further than the grp stages in soccer. and i've decided that i wld wear "5" for my jersey next yr.
grant this man a speedy recovery.
