this new yr there wld be any resolutions- i really see no point in coming up with resolutions which wld be broken by the time i finish typing this post.
yup, so before i start going to a Co-Ed school for the first time in a decade- OMG they say there wld be girls queueing up outside my classrm!, maybe it's nice to look back on the 4 yrs i've spent in high school. ar...... beautiful hwachong.
So, i've decided to come up with a "Best of High School Moments" list.
and here it goes.
Joining HP
This was probably one of the best decisions I made in high school. Not only the classmates here, but also the teachers. Yes, teachers with an "S". Ng Seaw Choon and Ng Soo Nee. Slim? Laurang? I'm sorry they don't make the list here.
Orientation
Yup, no doubt this will be something that will stay forever. All the pia-ing and chiong-ing, and all the fun, i'm sure those that have been part of this wld not deny that it had been really fun. It's not only about getting the sec 1s to cheer per se, but it's abt passing on wadeva u noe abt hwachong to them, and seeing a new batch of students become part of our school's tradition, wah, the feeling is just so!!! despite having gone through numerous orientations, i still cannot find the word to describe the feeling. even when i go back as a senior, orientation still evokes a lot of emotions.
OB Sabah Camp
the best camp of my life. with the most amazing ppl. it was just before SLC and after Orientation. Needing to go thru so much with the bunch of ppl in council, this camp was really the one that bonded us so close together. we were the only batch that made it to the peak of Mt Kinabalu- neither our seniors or juniors did. and i almost died there too but for a jap old man who saved me from fallin deep down into the mountains. and i will never forget the moment when we sang YOU RAISE ME UP for our instructors just before we left, everyone in the camp. Cld still rmb ppl like KOH KAI MING joining in, IN TEARS TOO. the camp was just amazing.

Our Hips Don't Lie
i'm so thankful we took part in HIC. i guess it was the first time we did something as a class together and hopefully it will prepare us well for the journey after high school as friends.
HCI-Raffles United Challenge Shield
at least i won something with high school, it really meant a lot to me. when the last penalty went in, i rmb all that happened was the whole school rushed down to the field and i was simply hugging anyone that came along. yes, it's not the world cup, but the day that happened, i cldn't sleep.
of course there are still numerous things that i will rmb from high school, like heritage city, leading cheers in judo finals was definitely one of them as well, and many many more. Oh yes, staying up numerous nights to watch arsenal play in the champions league until they lost in the finals too. and HMUN too.
but really, high school have provided me the time of my life. looking back, i don't think i have much regrets, not even joining gym. even gym, i enjoyed it when i was there for the 1 yr which i gave my everything only to surrender to the dumbest of all accidents. even then, i have no regrets.
i dunno wad lies ahead in college, some ppl say it's fun. but with no hesitation i can still say, HIGH SCHOOL is the time of my life.
